PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI) and PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia (AJMI) clarified that the share acquisition by PT Tirta Dhana Nugraha (TDN) in PT Buanadaya Sarana Indonesia (BSI) is an internal restructuring within the Manulife Group. The transaction involves TDN acquiring 86% of BSI's issued shares, making it the majority shareholder.
Justitia Tripurwasani, Director & Chief Legal, Risk & Compliance at Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, emphasized that all entities involved are under the ownership of Manulife Group. "All entities are under Manulife Group ownership, so it doesn't change group control," she stated. The restructuring is focused on strengthening the capital structure and aligning ownership within the group without impacting employees, clients, or business partners.
Shierly Ge, Chief Marketing Officer of Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia, explained that the share issuance and acquisition are aimed at reinforcing the capital structure and ensuring alignment of ownership within the group. The process is being carried out in accordance with prevailing legal regulations and is purely an internal arrangement to maintain a solid and sustainable business structure while ensuring good corporate governance.
As of December 2025, Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI) managed assets totaling Rp124.3 trillion, positioning it as the largest asset manager in Indonesia. The restructuring exercise demonstrates Manulife's commitment to maintaining a robust financial foundation while continuing to serve its stakeholders effectively.
