Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia has continued its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by implementing two significant social initiatives in 2025. The company provided essential business facilities, including tents, tables, and chairs, to six Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the Mangga Dua area of Jakarta. The supported businesses include vendors selling bakmi, soto, coffee, satay, nasi goreng, and durian. This initiative aims to enhance the operational comfort and efficiency of these MSMEs, which play a crucial role in the local economy.
In collaboration with PT Insight Investments Management (PT IIM), Mirae Asset organized an Umrah program for five underprivileged individuals who have made significant social contributions. The selected beneficiaries came from various backgrounds, including Quran teachers, mosque caretakers, laborers, and office boys. This program is part of an ongoing collaboration between Mirae Asset and PT IIM, which has successfully facilitated 1,169 pilgrims as of October 2025, with a total donation of Rp43.5 billion. The December 2025 batch will add 90 more pilgrims to this total.
The CSR initiatives undertaken by Mirae Asset are funded through the Odd-Lot donation program, which allows investors to donate their fractional shareholdings (less than one lot or 100 shares) that cannot be traded on the regular stock exchange. These donations are then converted into social funds used for various philanthropic activities, including MSME support and the Umrah program. Ratna Ekawati, Head of Human Capital at Mirae Asset, emphasized that this program facilitates investors' participation in creating social impact by donating their Odd-Lot shares.
The Umrah program is made possible through the Insight Haji Syariah Fund (I-Hajj Syariah Fund), a fixed-income Shariah-compliant investment product managed by PT IIM since 2005. This fund not only provides moderate returns to investors but also generates significant social and religious impact by facilitating pilgrimages for underprivileged individuals. Camar Remoa, Director of PT IIM, expressed hope that this collaboration will continue to create sustainable social impact in the future.
