MRT Jakarta Enhances Dukuh Atas Transport Hub

New Pedestrian Bridge Project

PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has received a mandate from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to construct a pedestrian bridge connecting various transportation modes in the Dukuh Atas area ¹

. The groundbreaking for this project is scheduled for May or June 2026. According to MRT Jakarta's CEO Tuhiyat, the pedestrian deck will unify the four quadrants currently disconnected at the Sudirman and Dukuh Atas intersection.

Enhancing Public Transport Integration

The project is designed specifically for the public and pedestrians to increase the ridership of public transportation. It will integrate various transport modes in Dukuh Atas, including LRT Jabodebek, KRL Station, and MRT Dukuh Atas Station. This development is part of MRT Jakarta's efforts to create a more seamless travel experience for commuters.

Launch of Tahilalats Station Retail Space

In a related development, MRT Jakarta has inaugurated a new retail space called Tahilalats Station in collaboration with local brand Tahilalats ²

. The retail space offers various merchandise, including food, beverages, and photobooth facilities. This initiative was welcomed by Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Rano Karno, who sees it as aligning with Jakarta's vision as a global city.

Boosting Public Transport Usage

The collaboration between MRT Jakarta and local brands demonstrates how public transportation can grow alongside local creative works. Rano Karno noted that in 2025, MRT Jakarta recorded an average of 141,872 passengers per day, exceeding monthly targets. The presence of Tahilalats Station is expected to create an enjoyable space for the public while encouraging the use of public transportation.
