OJK Grants Business Licenses to MoneeInsure for Life and General Insurance Operations

Regulatory Approval for Name Change

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has granted business licenses to PT Asuransi Jiwa Moneeinsure and PT Asuransi Umum Moneeinsure, enabling them to operate in the life insurance and general insurance sectors respectively. This regulatory approval comes through decisions numbered KEP-606/PD.02/2025 for life insurance and KEP-602/PD.02/2025 for general insurance, both issued on November 13, 2025.

Background of Name Change

The companies were previously known as PT Asuransi Jiwa Seainsure and PT Asuransi Umum Seainsure, operating under the brand name SeaInsure. The name change to MoneeInsure was approved by the OJK through the aforementioned decisions. This is not the first name change for the companies; previously they were known as PT Asuransi Jiwa Advista and PT Asuransi Mega Pratama respectively.

Regulatory Compliance Requirements

The OJK has mandated that both companies must operate according to healthy business practices and comply with prevailing regulations. I Wayan Wijana, Head of the Licensing, Special Examination, and Quality Control Department for Insurance, Guarantee, and Pension Funds at OJK, emphasized that the companies must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations in their operations.

Operational Status

As of the latest available information, MoneeInsure's website has not been updated to reflect the new company name, although their financial reports have been published until October 2025. The companies are based at Gama Tower, 15th Floor, Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said Kav. C-22, Jakarta Selatan.
