The decision to close branches in Bandung Dago, Semarang Gajah Mada, Surabaya Darmo, and Jakarta Pluit is aligned with the bank's digital transformation efforts. Operations from these branches will be consolidated into other locations, such as Jakarta SCBD and Jakarta Gajah Mada, starting January 5, 2026. The bank is encouraging customers to utilize its digital banking services, including QNB Indonesia Mobile Banking, QNB Online Banking, and Corporate Internet Banking.
OJK's Head of Banking Supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, stated that Bank QNB has communicated with affected employees and will comply with labor regulations regarding their rights. The bank has also informed OJK about the measures taken to address the impact on employees.
The bank has assured customers that service continuity will be maintained through alternative branch locations. For instance, customers from the closed branches will be served by Jakarta SCBD and Jakarta Gajah Mada branches. The bank is also promoting its digital channels, including Phone Transaction services, to minimize disruption.
