The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has reported that the outstanding amount of P2P lending to the productive sector reached Rp31.37 trillion by September 2025. This figure represents 34.48% of the total outstanding P2P lending industry, which stood at Rp90.99 trillion. The growth in P2P lending to productive sectors has been notable, with a month-to-month increase of 5.84% from the previous month's Rp29.64 trillion.
Despite the positive growth, OJK Executive Agusman highlighted that limited business feasibility data and inadequate supporting infrastructure remain significant challenges for P2P lending platforms. These challenges hinder the ability of P2P lending to effectively channel funds to productive sectors. Agusman emphasized the need for the industry to strengthen cross-sector partnerships and utilize alternative data to enhance the quality of lending.
The current level of P2P lending to productive sectors is still below the target set in the P2P Lending Industry Development and Strengthening Roadmap 2023-2028. For 2025-2026, the roadmap targets that 40-50% of P2P lending should go to productive sectors and MSMEs. The OJK continues to monitor the industry's progress toward achieving this goal.
As of September 2025, the total outstanding amount for P2P lending reached Rp90.99 trillion, representing a 22.16% year-on-year growth. The non-performing loan ratio for P2P lending remained manageable at 2.82%, indicating a relatively stable credit risk profile for the industry.
