Pertamina Increases Diesel Supply to Support Aceh's Post-Disaster Recovery

Strategic Fuel Distribution Amidst Crisis

Pertamina Patra Niaga has significantly ramped up diesel fuel distribution in Aceh, recording a 20% increase during the post-disaster recovery phase. The total diesel supply reached over 5,400 kiloliters in late November to December 2025, marking a substantial rise of approximately 900 kiloliters compared to the same period last year. This strategic move is crucial in supporting the region's energy needs as Aceh continues to recover from recent disasters.

Supporting Critical Infrastructure and Recovery Efforts

The increased diesel supply plays a vital role in maintaining electricity generation through diesel power plants (PLTD) and backup systems for PLN. These efforts ensure that essential public services remain operational and that recovery efforts are not hindered by power shortages. The fuel distribution is particularly important for disaster-affected areas where reliable electricity is crucial for both immediate relief efforts and long-term recovery.

Collaborative Efforts and On-Ground Monitoring

To ensure the smooth distribution of diesel fuel, Pertamina Patra Niaga's management, including Vice President Achmad Muchtasyar, conducted field visits to key locations such as Aceh Utara and Bireuen. These visits allowed for firsthand assessment of the ground situation and helped in coordinating with local stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted fuel supply. The company is working closely with PLN, local government bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure that the energy needs of the affected regions are met effectively.

Additional Support Measures

In addition to enhancing diesel supply, Pertamina Patra Niaga is supporting the distribution of 1,000 gensets provided by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources across various regions in Aceh, including Aceh Tengah, Lhokseumawe, and Banda Aceh. The company is also engaged in social responsibility activities, distributing essential supplies such as rice, cooking oil, and instant noodles to affected communities.
