The LPG distribution was conducted in close coordination with the Aceh Tengah local government through the Trade Department. The cylinders were distributed through a subsidized market mechanism at 12 points across six sub-districts on December 23. The distribution points were strategically located: four in Bebesen, three in Lut Tawar, two in Kebayakan, and one each in Pegasing, Bies, and Silih Nara sub-districts.
Mustafa Kamal, Head of the Aceh Tengah Communication and Information Department, urged the community to utilize the LPG supply orderly. The distribution is a follow-up to intensive coordination between the Aceh Tengah government and Pertamina, including an official letter from the Regent on December 4 and subsequent meetings with Pertamina's Gas IV Sales Branch Manager and LPG agents in Bireuen.
Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, Area Manager of Communication, Relation & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumatera Bagian Utara, emphasized that this effort is part of Pertamina's commitment to maintaining energy supply availability despite post-disaster infrastructure challenges. Muhammad Baron, Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, added that the company is focusing on energy distribution, particularly fuel and LPG, as well as humanitarian assistance in disaster-affected areas of Sumatra.
