Sixth Stage of Relief Aid Distributed to Aceh Tamiang

PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), as part of the Pertamina Group, continues to demonstrate its commitment to helping communities affected by recent floods. The relief efforts, now in their sixth stage, have reached communities in Aceh Tamiang, following previous distributions in other affected areas across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra since November 26, 2025.

Comprehensive Relief Efforts

The relief aid distributed by PIS includes a wide range of essential supplies such as food items, baby necessities, personal hygiene products, blankets, health equipment, personal care items, religious supplies, and kitchen utensils. The distribution process has been carried out through multiple channels including land, air, and sea routes to ensure timely and effective delivery to those in need.

Strategic Distribution Methods

PIS has optimized its logistics capabilities by utilizing various transportation methods. The company has deployed its tanker ships, MT Kasim and MT Kamojang, to support the relief efforts by delivering logistics supplies to strategic locations such as Sibolga, Belawan, Lhokseumawe, and Pangkalan Susu. This maritime logistics support complements the land and air distribution networks, enabling a more comprehensive and rapid response to the affected communities.

Collaborative Efforts

The relief distribution has been carried out in collaboration with various entities within the Pertamina Group. PIS has worked alongside other subsidiaries such as PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), PT Pertamina Energy Terminal (PET), and PT Pertamina Port and Logistics (PPL) to coordinate the relief efforts effectively. Volunteer teams have also been deployed to oversee the distribution, coordinate with local authorities, and assess the needs of the affected communities on the ground.
