Comprehensive Preparations for Holiday Period

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has activated its Nataru Task Force since November to ensure uninterrupted fuel and LPG supply during the 2025/2026 holiday season. The task force focuses on maintaining distribution across Indonesia through 7,885 SPBU, 6,777 Pertashop, and 6,634 LPG agencies ⁴

Fuel Consumption Predictions for Nataru

During the holiday period, Pertamina Patra Niaga predicts a 3.2% increase in gasoline consumption compared to normal daily needs, while diesel consumption is expected to decrease by 7.6% due to reduced industrial activity. Aviation fuel consumption is projected to rise by 5.2%, and LPG demand is expected to increase by 7.2% ⁵

Government Plans and Pertamina's Readiness

The government plans to stop importing diesel fuel in 2026, following the completion of the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) at the Balikpapan refinery in December 2025. Pertamina Patra Niaga is prepared to supply diesel to private SPBU if directed by the government, ensuring sufficient domestic production meets the demand ¹

Distribution Challenges in Aceh

Following recent natural disasters, some areas in Aceh remain challenging for fuel distribution, particularly in Bener Meriah, Aceh Tengah, Gayo Lues, and Aceh Tamiang. Pertamina Patra Niaga is working to restore distribution networks in these regions, having already shipped LPG cylinders and distribution equipment via sea transport to support the affected areas ²

Operational Readiness

To maintain supply chain stability, Pertamina Patra Niaga has implemented a real-time monitoring system through its Nataru Task Force Command Center. The company has also deployed additional logistics support, including 2 skid tanks with 15 metric tons capacity each to reinforce LPG supply in disaster-affected regions ²
