PT Pertamina (Persero) has swiftly responded to the recent floods and landslides in North Sumatra by mobilizing its Pertamina Peduli initiative to deliver essential aid to affected communities in Tapanuli Tengah, Tapanuli Selatan, and Sibolga. The relief efforts include the provision of 120 boxes of mineral water, 600 boxes of instant noodles, and 500 kg of rice, which were handed over to the North Sumatra Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD Pemprov Sumut) at their emergency response post.

The relief supplies will be transported by air to the affected areas under the coordination of the North Sumatra Governor's office. According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the floods and landslides have affected several areas in North Sumatra, including Humbang Hasundutan, Tapanuli Utara, Tapanuli Tengah, Tapanuli Selatan, and Sibolga. The disaster has resulted in significant damage to residential homes, public infrastructure such as bridges, water channels, schools, places of worship, and agricultural land.
