PT Pertamina (Persero) has officially closed its Natal 2025 and Tahun Baru 2026 (Nataru) Task Force operations, marking a successful period of ensuring energy supply during the holiday season. The company's preparedness and strategic planning resulted in a controlled and stable energy distribution across the country. According to Pertamina's CEO Simon Aloysius, three key factors contributed to this success: robust infrastructure readiness, daily monitoring for swift decision-making, and cross-functional coordination among various departments and subholdings.
The Nataru period, which spanned from November 13, 2025, to January 11, 2026, saw varying levels of energy consumption. Notably, there was a 1% increase in gasoline consumption compared to the average consumption in September and October 2025. Avtur consumption rose by 4%, partly due to Pertamina's discount initiative at 37 airports, which was part of the company's support for the government's efforts to maintain flight ticket stability. Similarly, LPG consumption increased by 4%, driven by heightened household and horeka (hotels, restaurants, and cafes) activities during the holiday season.
With the Nataru Task Force operations concluded, Pertamina is now focusing on preparing for the upcoming Ramadan and Idulfitri 1447 H. The company anticipates a more intense period with higher energy demands, increased societal mobility, and greater national complexity. To address these challenges, Pertamina plans to enhance its service and supply capabilities, ensure the reliability of its facilities and infrastructure, and implement advanced digital monitoring and data analysis systems. The company's commitment remains centered on providing energy that is available, secure, and sustainable, guided by its core principle of serving with full dedication.
