Pertamina, through its subsidiary Pertamina Patra Niaga, has initiated an innovative logistics solution to maintain fuel supply to Bener Meriah, Aceh, by utilizing an Air Tractor aircraft for transportation. This decision was made necessary due to the severe disruption of land routes following recent natural disasters in the region.

Operational Details and Capacity

The Air Tractor operations commenced on December 13, 2025, at 08:08 WIB, departing from Kualanamu Airport in Medan to Rembele Airport in Bener Meriah. Each flight can carry a maximum of 3.5 KL of Biosolar or 4 KL of gasoline (Pertalite or Pertamax). The operation is planned for two to three flights per day, significantly enhancing the region's fuel supply chain resilience.

Coordination and Implementation

The successful execution of this operation involves close coordination between multiple stakeholders, including airport authorities, local government, TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces), and the Police. This collaborative effort ensures that fuel distribution is maintained safely and efficiently despite the challenging circumstances.

Impact on Regional Recovery

The fuel delivery serves a dual purpose: supporting the immediate needs of disaster response agencies like BNPB (National Disaster Management Agency) and supplying local gas stations in Bener Meriah and Aceh Tengah. By maintaining a steady fuel supply, Pertamina is contributing significantly to the region's recovery efforts and the restoration of normal societal activities.
