PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, is implementing technological innovation to accelerate oil and gas production through its Networked Collaboration for New Potential (NCNP) program. This initiative is designed to align operational challenges with relevant technological solutions, potentially creating significant value for both production enhancement and financial performance.
A key component of NCNP is the launch of a digital application that enables technology providers to access operational challenges directly, thereby accelerating the matching process between needs and technological solutions. This innovation has been recognized by SKK Migas and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as a strategic step toward upstream oil and gas industry efficiency.
The innovation was showcased during the Technology Day & Business Forum 2025, held from December 1-3, 2025, in Jakarta. The event served as a strategic collaboration platform between Pertamina and technology providers, featuring various agendas including panel discussions on the direction of upstream technology development, the launch of the NCNP Technology Catalog, and presentations of success stories from various regions within PHE.
PHE Commissioner, Nanang Untung, emphasized the importance of strengthening technological collaboration to address operational challenges in mature fields with declining natural production. The forum provided a platform to match field challenges with appropriate technological solutions, enhancing cooperation between solution providers and those in need.
PHE's Director of Development & Production, Mery Luciawaty, highlighted that the Subholding contributes significantly to national energy production - approximately 69% of national oil production and 37% of gas production. The company remains committed to achieving the national production target of 1 million barrels per day through technological innovation and strengthened collaboration between operational zones and technology providers.
PHE will continue investing in upstream operations and business management following Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The company remains committed to Zero Tolerance on Bribery, implementing measures such as the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) standardized to ISO 37001:2016 to ensure operational integrity.
