Petrogas and SKK Migas Launch CEOR Project to Boost Oil Production in Walio Field

Background and Objectives

The Walio field, located in the Kepala Burung working area, Papua Barat Daya, is one of the largest oil fields in Eastern Indonesia. To increase oil production from mature reservoirs, Petrogas (Basin) Ltd. and SKK Migas have initiated a Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) project ¹

Project Details and Implementation

The CEOR project in the Walio field is part of the commitment to fulfill the Work Commitment (KKP) of the Kepala Burung working area. The project is expected to last around 30-35 months, from the start of injection to the completion of technical evaluation ¹

. The injection process is supported by the operation of specialized surface facilities, including a surfactant-polymer injection unit, water treatment system, and flowline network ²
