This commitment was highlighted during a recent Media Visit event held in Bekasi, attended by local media representatives from Bekasi and Karawang.
General Manager of PGN SOR II, Iwan Yuli Widyastanto, emphasized that West Java is a critical economic growth center with increasing and diverse energy demands. To meet these needs, PGN SOR II is dedicated to providing reliable, safe, and sustainable natural gas services across various customer segments. The company serves customers ranging from households and small businesses to commercial, industrial, and corporate clients.
In the Bekasi area, PGN is currently serving more than 23,000 customers with a total distribution volume of approximately 99.24 BBTUD. The service coverage includes residential areas, small customers, commercial establishments, and industrial zones such as Cikarang, Cibitung, Jababeka, GIIC, EJIP, and MM2100.
In Karawang, PGN serves over 13,000 customers with a total distribution volume of around 85 BBTUD. The gas distribution in this area supports various sectors including households, small customers, commercial entities, industries, and corporations. It plays a vital role in supporting strategic industrial zones and the national economic and food security sectors.
Iwan also highlighted the importance of media as strategic partners in delivering objective and balanced information about PGN's gas services to the public. As the company approaches the end of 2025, PGN SOR II is planning collaborative initiatives with local media to foster open, constructive, and sustainable communication. This effort aims to support the company's programs and performance in 2026.
