Strategic Partnership for Industry Absorption

In response to the persistently high graduate unemployment rate in Indonesia, which reached around 6-7% in 2024 according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, PT Prima Karya Sarana Sejahtera (PKSS) has strengthened its partnership with Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri). This strategic collaboration is designed to enhance the employability of Unsri graduates by providing them with opportunities to enter the formal workforce, thereby addressing the significant challenge of unemployment among educated youths.

Addressing Regional Disparities

The issue of graduate unemployment is particularly pronounced in regions outside of Java, including Sumatra Selatan, where the availability of formal job opportunities has not kept pace with the increasing number of graduates. By expanding their partnership, PKSS and Unsri aim to contribute to bridging this gap, ensuring that more graduates can secure meaningful employment and contribute to the regional economy.
