In celebration of the 80th National Electricity Day (HLN), PT PLN (Persero) has successfully provided free electricity connections to 20 underprivileged households in Bali through its 'Berbagi Cahaya, Menumbuhkan Harapan' (Sharing Light, Growing Hope) program. This initiative is part of PLN's broader national commitment to achieving energy equity for all Indonesians, particularly those in remote and underserved communities.

Transforming Lives through Electricity Access

The program was implemented in multiple locations across Bali, including Sesetan (Denpasar), Tianyar (Karangasem), Penebel (Tabanan), and Depeha (Buleleng). For families like I Nyoman Nuki, a parking attendant living in Sesetan, Denpasar, the new electricity connection has been life-changing. Previously relying on makeshift electricity from neighbors, Nuki's family can now enjoy proper lighting and improved living conditions.

Community Impact and Government Support

The initiative received appreciation from local government officials, including Denpasar Deputy Mayor I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, who praised the program's alignment with Denpasar's motto 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (The world is one family). The program demonstrates PLN's commitment to social responsibility and community development through energy access.
