The program supported 73 farmers across three farming groups - Moyang - managing a total of 10 hectares of land. According to Saidu Solihin, Director of Business Development and Operations at KBI, the soybean production increased by 43% from 9 tons to 21 tons following the implementation of the program.
The CSR program not only focused on increasing production but also ensured sustainable practices. The harvested soybeans are integrated into the warehouse receipt system, providing farmers with sustained economic benefits. KBI has also expanded its environmental initiatives through coffee plantation reforestation. The company has planted 500 coffee trees in Garut, West Java, covering an area of 2,800 square meters, with plans to plant an additional 600 coffee seedlings in the second phase.
This initiative demonstrates KBI's commitment to both economic development and environmental sustainability. By enhancing soybean production and implementing reforestation programs, KBI is creating positive impacts in both agricultural productivity and environmental conservation.
