PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) has launched an expanded reforestation program as part of its comprehensive sustainability strategy. The company plans to plant 1,977 trees throughout 2025, continuing its commitment to environmental stewardship. The initiative began on December 6, 2025, with the planting of 153 fruit tree saplings, including mango and avocado trees, in a designated 2,700 square meter area within the company's premises.

The reforestation program is a key component of Pupuk Kaltim's environmental management strategy, aligning with the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. According to Mohamad Agung, Director of Development at Pupuk Kaltim, the initiative demonstrates the company's commitment to balancing industrial operations with environmental conservation. 'Industrial development must go hand-in-hand with environmental preservation. This tree planting is one of our concrete contributions to maintaining that balance,' Agung stated.
