The SIAL InterFOOD 2025 exhibition has officially commenced at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, marking the beginning of the largest food and beverage exhibition in Southeast Asia. The event, now in its 26th iteration, has attracted 1,500 participants from 26 countries, including Thailand, Iran, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Korea, Turkey, Russia, Japan, and Taiwan. Notably, 100 Indonesian SMEs are showcasing their export-ready innovative products.
The four-day event, running from 12 to 15 November 2025, features various innovative displays across the food, beverage, catering, hotel, restaurant, café, and bakery sectors. Visitors can enjoy cooking demonstrations by nearly 1,000 food experts and influencers, baking demonstrations, cake decoration demonstrations, and pastry & gelato competitions. The exhibition is expected to attract over 90,000 visitors who can experience product sampling and live demonstrations of the latest innovations.
CEO of Krista Exhibitions, Daud D. Salim, expressed pride in organizing this comprehensive event, stating that it serves as more than just a business meeting platform. "This exhibition is a crucial momentum to unite positive energy from all industry players. The event combines three major exhibitions: Seafood Show Asia Expo, INAShop Expo, and All Indonesia CoolTech Expo, offering an integrated experience from raw material sourcing to modern retail solutions.
The exhibition features various educational and interactive activities, including industrial seminars, business matching sessions, professional culinary competitions, and workshops conducted by experienced experts. Highlights include the "Artisan Tea - Harmony of Science and Art" workshop by the Indonesian Artisan Tea Association, Lamb Butchery Workshop by Aussie Meat Academy, and a seminar on Indonesia's halal certification requirements by LPPOM MUI.
The event hosts prestigious culinary competitions such as La Cuisine Competition, which features over 1,000 participants from eight countries showcasing their culinary skills through cooking and baking demonstrations. The competition is judged by 104 national and international jurors who evaluate creativity, presentation techniques, taste, and culinary innovation. Additionally, the ICAB SIROC Competition 2025 provides a platform for Indonesian baristas and coffee professionals to demonstrate their expertise.
The exhibition serves as a strategic platform for producers, brand owners, modern and traditional retailers, investors, and SMEs to find potential partners and explore new market opportunities both nationally and internationally. The event culminates in the Innovation and Awarding Night, recognizing industry players for their innovative contributions to the food and beverage sector.
