State-Owned Enterprises Deliver Critical Aid to Flood Victims

Coordinated Relief Efforts

In a display of unity and corporate social responsibility, state-owned enterprises (BUMN) have joined forces to provide substantial aid to communities affected by the recent floods in Aceh and Sumatra. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), a subsidiary of Pertamina, has taken the lead in this initiative by sending 3 tons of additional aid to the disaster-stricken areas. This effort was made possible through collaboration with Danantara and Garuda Indonesia, highlighting the power of partnership in times of crisis.

Essential Supplies and Healthcare Support

The aid package, dispatched on December 1, 2025, includes a range of essential items tailored to meet the immediate needs of the affected populations. These supplies comprise food staples such as rice, instant noodles, and mineral water, as well as healthcare packages containing medicines and medical supplies. Additionally, the aid includes baby and maternal care items, such as diapers and sanitary pads, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to addressing the various needs of the affected communities.

Targeted Relief for Aceh Region

The second phase of aid distribution is primarily focused on Aceh, one of the regions most severely impacted by the floods. PGN, in coordination with local authorities and BUMN Koordinator Aceh, is ensuring that the aid reaches the most vulnerable populations in a timely and efficient manner. This targeted approach is crucial in maximizing the impact of the relief efforts and providing support where it is most needed.

Fajriyah Usman, Corporate Secretary of PGN, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the affected communities until they can recover fully. The initiative not only reflects PGN's corporate values but also underscores the role of state-owned enterprises in contributing to national disaster response efforts.
