BGN's Ultimatum to Non-Compliant Kitchens

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has issued a stern warning to thousands of Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) kitchens operating without proper Hygiene Sanitation Worthiness Certificate (SLHS). BGN Deputy Head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang stated that kitchens failing to obtain the necessary certification will face immediate suspension or closure. The warning was delivered during the 'Semangat Awal Tahun 2026' event in Jakarta on January 14, 2026.

Strict Enforcement of Hygiene Standards

Deyang emphasized that non-compliant kitchens must register immediately to avoid being suspended or shut down. The BGN official warned that continued operation without certification would result in severe consequences, stating, "If we find out that a kitchen has been operating for a long time without registration, we will suspend it." The financial impact could be significant, with kitchens potentially losing their daily operational budget of Rp 6 million.

This enforcement action is part of the government's broader effort to maintain food safety and hygiene standards in the MBG program.
