This initiative is part of Pertamina's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aimed at strengthening MSMEs' capacity and sustainability.
In 2025, PT Pertamina (Persero) facilitated 5,888 MSMEs in obtaining various business certifications, significantly enhancing their market access and competitiveness. The certifications covered a wide range of legal and regulatory requirements including Business Registration Number (NIB), PIRT, BPOM, halal self-declaration, halal certification from BPJPH, Intellectual Property Rights (HKI), Taxable Entrepreneur (PKP), NPWP, and individual company registration.
According to Muhammad Baron, Vice President of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, obtaining these certifications is a strategic step for MSMEs to adapt to the increasingly competitive market demands. "Legalitas dan sertifikasi bukan sekadar administrasi, tetapi kunci bagi UMKM untuk tumbuh berkelanjutan, memperluas akses pembiayaan, serta menembus pasar yang lebih luas," Baron stated. The certification process is part of Pertamina's broader CSR program focused on creating shared value and promoting inclusive economic growth.
The support provided to MSMEs extends beyond certification. Pertamina also offers guidance on production capacity building, product quality improvement, export readiness, and tax compliance awareness. Baron emphasized that the goal is not just to sustain MSMEs but to elevate them to reach national and global markets. This comprehensive approach demonstrates Pertamina's commitment to fostering sustainable economic development through its CSR initiatives.
