The investment is part of Turkish Airlines' broader growth plans, which include expanding their fleet to 813 aircraft by 2033, positioning the airline among the top five global carriers. As of the end of 2025, Turkish Airlines operates a fleet of 514 aircraft, ranking ninth in the world. The airline has already placed orders for nearly 600 new aircraft, which are expected to join their fleet over the next 10-12 years.
Turkish Airlines currently serves 356 destinations across 132 countries, making it the airline with the most extensive global route network. In the first 11 months of 2025, the airline carried 85.3 million passengers, representing an 8.4% year-on-year increase and surpassing their total passenger count for the entire year of 2024.
CEO Bilal Eksi emphasized the airline's commitment to growth and expansion, highlighting their plans to become one of the world's top five airlines by 2033.
