PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has been awarded a significant infrastructure project in Bali worth Rp290.84 billion. The project involves the geometric improvement of the Singaraja-Mengwitani road section (Shortcut 9 and 10, Package I). The scope of work includes constructing 931.5 meters of road and 593.5 meters of bridge, with the entire project expected to be completed by late 2027.
The road project is designed to enhance connectivity between South Bali, a major tourism hub, and North Bali. Currently, the journey between these regions is hindered by winding roads. By improving the road geometry, Waskita Karya aims to enhance driving safety by reducing sharp turns and steep gradients. The project will create a more direct and safer route, benefiting both local residents and tourists.
Dhetik Ariyanto, Director of Operations II at Waskita Karya, emphasized that the geometric improvement of the Singaraja-Mengwitani road will significantly enhance driving safety. The new design will minimize sharp turns and reduce the road's steepness, creating a more efficient and secure transportation link between the two regions of Bali.
