PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has seen a substantial increase in Whoosh ticket sales on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. By midday, the company had sold approximately 15,000 tickets, with projections indicating that the total number of passengers could surpass 23,000 by the end of the day. This surge is directly related to the high mobility observed during the Christmas and New Year holiday season of 2025/2026.

Occupancy Rates and Travel Patterns

The occupancy rate for Whoosh trains traveling between Halim Station and Bandung during the morning and afternoon schedules has averaged around 80%. General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC, Eva Chairunisa, noted that there has been a significant increase in passengers, particularly on routes between Jakarta and Bandung. She advised travelers to book their tickets in advance to secure their preferred departure times.

Holiday Travel Trends

The high demand for Whoosh tickets during this period reflects the increasing popularity of the high-speed rail service for holiday travel. KCIC expects this trend to continue through the New Year period, with a notable increase in passengers on January 1, 2025.
