Ministry of Industry Prepares Competent Industrial Human Resources for New Industrialization Strategy Implementation

Background

The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has produced 7,691 competent industrial human resources as part of the implementation of the New Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) throughout 2025. This is part of the effort to strengthen the foundation of national industrial development.

Objective and Strategy

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said that the availability of excellent human resources is a primary requirement in encouraging the acceleration of national industrialization. "Asta Cita as a national development mission emphasizes the development of excellent human resources, acceleration of industrialization, sustainable downstreaming, as well as digital transformation and technological innovation. All of these agendas require the availability of competent industrial human resources as the main driver," said Agus.

Results and Impact

This achievement is the result of various strategic programs implemented by the Industrial Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry, ranging from industrial vocational education, industrial vocational training, to strengthening industry 4.0 competencies. The Head of BPSDMI, Doddy Rahadi, stated that throughout 2025, vocational high schools and polytechnics under the Ministry of Industry have produced 5,386 graduates with competencies that meet the needs of the manufacturing industry.
